Description
A view looking north over part of Porto's Aliados district, with the church of Santo Antonio dos Congregados in the foreground. The Baroque style church dates from the late 17th century, the typical azulejo tiles on its facade show scenes from the life of Saint Anthony. The large tower behind it is part of Porto's City Hall building at the northern end of Av dos Aliados. It was built between 1920 and 1955 to a design by the architect Antonio Correia da Silva, the clock tower rises 230ft / 70m above the building.
